Campus Code of Conduct

CMD Advocates self-discipline and self-control: Students are expected to maintain the highest standards of discipline. Students must behave in an organized and professional manner at all times within the campus. Disciplinary action will be initiated against those who indulge in mischief and unprofessional behavior. The institute has a disciplinary committee comprising the Director/Administrative Officer/Senior Faculties, distinguished external members, who are called depending on the nature of disciplinary misconduct. The committee has the right to recommend suspension/ rustication for any noted disciplinary matter.

  1. No member of the Institute shall intentionally or recklessly damage or deface or knowingly misappropriate any property (including computer-stored information) of the Institute. Students are expected to use the facilities of the institute without causing damage and/or destruction. Any student found causing deliberate/intentional damage to the property of the institute will be required to pay for the damages depending on the nature of damage caused and may be suspended/ rusticated on repeated violations.

  1. Students are also required to be appropriately dressed, while in the institute. Whenever required they should be in the formals, as recommended below:
  2. Males: Full Sleeves Plain Shirt, Trousers, Tie, Black Shoes and Institutes blazer (As Provided in Uniform)
  3. Females: Western outfit with blazers (As Provided in Uniform)
  4. No Electronic gadget except the laptop and the calculator is allowed in the classrooms to be possessed by the students.
  5. Cellular phones must be kept in switch-off mode in classrooms.

Any misbehavior with the faculty or the fellow students shall be strictly punished which may involve suspension or rustication from the institute.

  1. Smoking of cigarettes, consumption of alcohol and narcotic drugs are strictly prohibited inside the institute campus. Violation of this policy will lead to severe punishment including rustication.
  2. Student Belongings: All the students should take care of their belongings i.e. laptops, cash, cell phone etc. The Institute shall not be responsible for any damage or loss to the students property.
  3. Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited within campus, hostel or outside. Anybody found indulging in ragging will be rusticated from institute and due legal action will also be taken.
  4. In case of any incident relating to indiscipline or other such correlated matters, any concealment of the information will also be indiscipline and a matter of concern.

Unacceptable Behavior

In general terms, any failure to meet the requirements of the Institutes Students Code of Conduct is unacceptable. The following are examples of what the Institute considers to be unacceptable behaviors which may result in disciplinary action. It is not intended that this is an exhaustive list of such behaviors. Such a list is not to be considered as an exhaustive list of unacceptable behaviors.

Physical or verbal abuse, or threat of abuse, of any person on Institutes premises (or at Institutes activities); or anyone employed by, or working on behalf of, the Institute

  1. Any form of harassment, or intimidation
  2. Theft or attempted theft of personal or Institutes property
  3. All forms of dishonesty, including cheating, or plagiarism (academic dishonesty)
  4. Knowingly furnishing false information to the Institute
  5. Forgery, and alteration - or unauthorized use - of Institutes documents with intent to defraud others or to misrepresent oneself
  6. Consumption of alcohol and narcotic drugs.
  7. Breaches of no-smoking policy and/or practices (e.g. smoking in unauthorized places)
  8. Willfully damaging, or threatening to damage, any Institutes property or facilities.
  9. Accessing, handling or distributing any unacceptable material (e.g. pornographic or racist) either in electronic or paper media
  10. Unacceptable use of Institutes IT systems to include breach of the Institutes Acceptable Use Policy
  11. Littering, defacing or destroying personal or Institutes property
  12. Willful disruption of Institute activities
  13. Unauthorized entry to Institutes or Hostels premises or activities.
  14. Absence without permission from the Class Room Coordinator and the faculty;
  15. Mass absence from the classes
  16. Reporting fictitious data for empirical study or assignments
